Lean Manufacturing and Lean Office Benchmarking: Japan Kaikaku Experience
Private groups scheduled for 15 or more by request
Learn Directly from the Source
Each day we visit companies who have been, 10, 20, 30 or even 40 years on the lean journey. They share the success secrets they have learned. Each evening we review and discuss how it applies to us. We will have unique opportunities to meet and learn from people who built the Toyota Production System, including a 40-year veteran of Toyota who designed and ran the Lexus assembly factory.
Bilingual and Bi-cultural Facilitation
Brad Schmidt and the local Gemba team will be lead the tours. Brad has been a lean consultant since 1998 and works in our Tokyo office. He was born and raised in Japan and is native in both English and Japanese. Having implemented Lean in both cultures, Brad will provide you with unique insight and an unforgettable experience that will be sure to remain with you for your life.
Quality, Flexibility and Experience
Our bilingual staff based in Japan have developed deep relationships with over 80 companies, allowing us to design flexibly design a variety of learning experiences. We have conducted over 65 successful lean study missions to Japan, each one improving on the last as we focus on quality and value.
“Our project has reinvented the interior completion and is completely based on and inspired by our trip to Japan. We now have the vision, the guts, the energy, the faith, leadership and a dedicated team. This was a good opportunity to experience something very powerful and different and it’s promising. We sure have our challenges, but we intend to make it work.”
Geneviève Gagnon, Continuous Improvement Manager, Bombardier Aerospace
